Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible is the supernaturally inspired, inerrant Word of God and is the divine authority for “real” living in our daily lives.

We believe the Godhead exists eternally in three persons:  God the Father, Creator of everything; God the Son, the Savior sent by God; and God the Holy Spirit, indwelling all those who by faith receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

We believe that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)     and that “God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17 NKJV)

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. That He was crucified for our sins and that His death on the cross is sufficient in itself to make atonement for sin because “salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to man by whom we must be saved.’ (Acts 4:12)

We believe “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”  (1 John 1:9)

We believe that all scripture is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe "it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Eph 2:8-9 NIV) 
 

We believe that a true believer is eternally secure in His relationship with God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, but that sin can interrupt the fellowship with the Father. 

We believe that every Christian is called “as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance:  but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living; (1 Peter 1:14-15 ASV).

We believe that the goal of every believer is to intentionally grow toward spiritual maturity through knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the Holy Spirit.

We believe we have “different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:4) and that all believers should be connected to the local church.

We believe in the imminent, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ and that ^“our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:  who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself. (Philippians 3:19-21 ASV).

We believe that the Scriptures command all believers to be witnesses for Christ, sharing the Gospel to those in their sphere of influence and throughout the world.
